And so it begins

This is nothing more than shameless self-promotion; and I'm okay with that. This will be roughly the eighth blog I have started. I think with this one, though, I have a driving force to keep me going; beer. I have been drinking it for 25 years, and making it for 5, so this relationship has lasted far longer than most in American society. There will be no earth shattering revelations here, and there is no need for airs. This is just good old fashioned beer talk.
With that said, I made some beer today. The weather was spectacular for Minnesota in April, the brewing session went off without a hitch, and I hit my target gravity. It was a beer primarily for my wife. She puts up with my hobby, so I have to occasionally pander to her tastes and ramp down the bitterness.
I also tried a new beer today. I give a big thumbs up to Flat Earth Brewing's Element 115. It is a very tasty California Common Beer; in the same category as Anchor Steam. It is malty and the bitterness, which comes from a wide variety of hops, balances out the malt very nicely.

Cheers
